How email reminders reach a signer

Reminders are included. They point back to the PDF you already sent.

The reminder does not rewrite the document.inSigner

People miss the first email. inSigner includes reminders on every plan so the same request can be opened again. A reminder is not a change to the terms, and it is not a substitute for a notice the contract itself requires.

01 · The same document

The same document

The reminder opens the request you already sent. If the PDF was wrong, do not rely on a reminder to fix it. Upload a corrected PDF and send a new request. The hash of the final file will belong to the file people actually sign.

02 · Included, not an add-on

Included, not an add-on

Email delivery and reminders are included on Essential, Pro, and Enterprise. SMS, WhatsApp, and KYC are the items priced separately. Do not describe a reminder email as an identity check.

A reminder helps someone open the same PDF. It does not repair a PDF that should not have been sent.

03 · Say what the email is

Say what the email is

The first message should name the document. A reminder can be shorter, but it should still be recognizable as that document. A vague subject line trains people to ignore both messages.

  • Is the PDF final before the first email?
  • Does the subject name the document?
  • Are we treating a reminder as a contractual notice?
  • Will we file the PDF and the record when signing ends?

04 · Contract notices stay in the PDF

Contract notices stay in the PDF

If an agreement requires notice by a method or to an address, write that in the PDF with counsel. A product reminder does not satisfy that clause just because it was emailed.

05 · Stop at completion

Stop at completion

When the document is complete, reminders for open fields should stop. Download the PDF and the completion record, including the SHA-256 hash, and file them. Do not keep emailing a finished request.
