A signature image alone does not explain who signed, what they saw, or whether the file changed later. inSigner stores the original hash, the invitation, the completion, and the final hash together.

A standard inSigner signature is an electronic signature with a completion record. It is not a qualified electronic signature. QES and the AATL check are Enterprise options.

The record connects the document hash, the people invited, and the completion events. It does not replace a notarization, a wet-ink statute, or advice from your counsel.

Frameworks teams ask about

These are the laws customers mention most often. They do not all require the same signature level.

• United States: ESIGN Act and UETA for most interstate and commercial electronic signatures.
• European Union and EEA: eIDAS, including simple, advanced, and qualified electronic signatures.
• United Kingdom: Electronic Communications Act 2000 and the UK eIDAS regulations.
• Australia: Electronic Transactions Act 1999 and the state and territory Acts.

Simple, advanced, and qualified

A simple electronic signature can be valid for many commercial agreements. An advanced signature adds stronger signer identification and control. A qualified electronic signature uses a qualified certificate and a qualified trust service provider.
