In short

  • Open cookie settings from this page or from the footer of any page.
  • Global Privacy Control is honored automatically.
  • Requests are free, and you will not be treated differently for making one.
  • If we refuse a request, you can appeal.

01Cookie settings

Use the “Cookie settings” button on this page, or the link in the footer of every page, to accept, reject, or change analytics and advertising cookies at any time. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and withdrawing consent stops the tags and deletes the cookies they set on our domain.

02Do not sell or share my personal information

We never sell personal data for money. Some U.S. state laws treat advertising cookies and pixels as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or as “targeted advertising”. You can opt out in any of these ways:

  • Turn off advertising in cookie settings.
  • Use a browser or extension that sends the Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Email [email protected] with the subject “Do not sell or share”. If you are signed in or give us your account email, we also apply the opt-out to your account and to the hashed email we would otherwise send to ad platforms.

An opt-out lasts until you change it. We do not ask you to opt in again for at least 12 months.

03Global Privacy Control

When your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data and of targeted advertising for that browser. Advertising stays off, the cookie banner shows that the signal was detected, and you can still allow analytics if you want. If you are signed in, we apply the signal to your account where we can link it.

04Limit the use of sensitive personal information

The sensitive personal information we process, such as account credentials, identity documents, and biometric data from the KYC add-on, is used only to provide the service, secure it, and verify identity. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, so the law does not require a separate “limit” link. You can still ask us about it at [email protected].

05Marketing emails

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we process it within 10 business days, or sooner where the law requires it. You can also write to [email protected] with the subject “Unsubscribe”. Service messages about your account, billing, security, or a document are not marketing.

06Controls from ad platforms

You can also limit ads through the platforms and industry programs:

  • Google: myadcenter.google.com.
  • Microsoft: account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings.
  • Meta: Ad Preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • TikTok: Ads settings in the Privacy section of the TikTok app.
  • Europe: youronlinechoices.eu. United States: optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. Canada: youradchoices.ca.
  • On phones: “Ask App Not to Track” on iOS, and “Delete advertising ID” on Android.

07Make a privacy request

To access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to processing, or use any other right, write to [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. Tell us which right you want to use, the email address linked to your account or to the document, and your country or state, so we apply the right law.

Requests are free. We may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse, only if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive, and we will explain why. We will not deny you the service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you used a right.

08Identity checks

To protect you, we confirm that a request comes from the right person before we act on it. Usually we ask you to reply from the email address on the account. For requests about sensitive data we may ask for more, and we will use the information only to verify the request.

09Authorized agents

You can ask someone to make a request for you. The agent must show written permission signed by you, or a power of attorney, and we may ask you to confirm your identity directly. A parent or guardian can make a request for a minor.

10Response times

We confirm receipt within 10 business days and answer within one month. Where the law allows, we may extend that by up to two more months for complex requests, and we will tell you why. Where a law sets a shorter deadline, such as the 45 days under U.S. state laws or the 10 and 15 business days under Colombian law, we follow the shorter one.

11Appeals

If we decline a request in whole or in part, we explain why. You can appeal by replying to our answer with the subject “Appeal” within 60 days. A different person reviews the appeal, and we answer within 45 days, or within 60 days where the law allows. If you disagree with the outcome, you can contact the attorney general of your state or your data protection authority.

12Documents sent by our customers

If your request is about a document that a company sent you through inSigner, that company is the controller. We will pass your request to it, and we will help it answer.
